Dr. Jessica Ward received her DVM degree from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. After a 1-year small animal rotating internship at the Ohio State University, she returned to NC State for her cardiology residency. Dr. Ward completed her residency and became ACVIM board-certified in Cardiology in 2015. She is currently an Associate Professor at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her research interests include point-of-care ultrasound, the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system in cardiovascular disease, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
