Posters
The Poster Reception will take place across the exhibition area and the newly expanded Poster Area in Foyer 3. With a record number of poster contributions this year, the display has been arranged across two dedicated spaces to give each presentation the attention it deserves. In addition the posters will be displayed digitally in the on-demand platform.
There will be an area in the exhibit hall for all posters – please mount your poster before Thursday 10 September 10:00 am, and do not remove it before Saturday 12 September 4:30 pm. If you as presenter need to leave earlier, please find a colleague who can remove your poster.
You are required to be present by your poster during the Poster reception on Thursday 10 September from 4:40-5:40 pm, in order to respond to questions from the participants.
POSTER REQUIREMENTS
Hard-copy poster
Posters should be in A0 format, and in portrait orientation (84,1 cm width and 118,9 cm length). We encourage making use of visuals as far as possible, rather than having extensive text.
Digital poster
In addition to the live congress we also offer a congress on-demand. All presentations including a PDF of your poster and a short 3-minute recording will be available online on the congress platform for a period of 3 months, exclusively to congress delegates.
Posters will be displayed in the digital poster hall (this is in addition to the paper poster), sorted per society.
For the digital poster hall you need to provide 2 things:
- Posters should be provided in a PDF format in a portrait orientation.
- A 3-minute recording of your presentation (instructions will be provided separately)
- The platform will also provide a chatbox where delegates can ask questions.
You will need to upload the presentation and the poster into the platform yourself by August 10 at the latest. This deadline is extremely important and will enable us to make the necessary preparations. You will receive further upload instructions about this in a later stage.
Please note that this PDF file will only be used for the poster hall in the online platform. You will need to bring your own printed poster with you to the congress in Berlin. The congress does not offer printing facilities.
Poster abstracts will be published in the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine (n.b. online version only), except those submitted for ESVCP, which will be published in the Journal of Veterinary Clinical Pathology. Abstracts will also be published in the online proceedings of the ECVIM-CA congress as well as on www.vin.com
CONGRESS REGISTRATION
Presenters of abstracts (oral and poster) must register for the entire congress and be present in person during the congress in Berlin.
Please inform us as soon as possible if, after your abstract is accepted, you cannot attend the congress.
ACCEPTANCE AND WITHDRAWAL
Oral and or poster presenters who do not attend the congress live in Berlin (and do not inform the organisation that they cannot attend within 2 weeks after notification of acceptance) will not be allowed either to submit an abstract the following year. Furthermore, the abstract will be withdrawn from the online proceedings, and will not be published in the respective scientific journal.
Important reminder: presenters do not have the right to choose the day and time of presentation, a back-up plan most be put in place at the time of submission already (always ask a co-author of being available also in case of a poster presentation).
