Ed Hall graduated from Cambridge Veterinary School in 1979. After a Rotating Internship and a Residency in Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, he completed a PhD and post-doctoral fellowship in canine gastroenterology at the University of Liverpool. He was appointed a Lecturer at Liverpool Veterinary School from 1992-95, and then employed at Bristol Veterinary School from 1995 to 2018, having responsibility for the training of undergraduate and postgraduate students (Residents) in small animal medicine. From 2018-2021, he worked for Langford Vets within the School, seeing GI referrals and teaching in clinics. He has been a Diplomate of the ECVIM since 1998, and a FRCVS from 2018.
