With the objective to shape the conversation of how nutrition can make a difference in the most frequent heart diseases affecting dogs.

Our invited speaker will share with us his perspectives around this novel discovery. 
Dr. Johnny Li, PhD. “Dietary intervention in dogs with preclinical myxomatous mitral valve disease”



Dr. Johnny Li is a Senior Research Scientist at Nestlé Purina PetCare Company in St. Louis. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Xiamen University in China, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Texas at Austin where he studied molecular signaling and cellular communications. Dr. Li joined Nestlé Purina after completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical R&D. In his current research, he applies nutrigenomic approaches to study common chronic diseases in dogs and cats.
