The ISCAID pre-congress day will take place on September 8th 2010 in the Ariane room at the Pierre Baudis Convention Centre, 11 Esplanade Compans Caffarelli, Toulouse, which is also the venue of the ECVIM Congress.

It will comprise a day of talks on companion animal infectious diseases under the theme of 'Infectious Diseases – Thinking Outside of the Box'. Four keynote speakers, including Dr. Kenneth Simpson (Cornell University), Dr. Niels Pedersen (University of California, Davis), and Dr. Robin Weiss (University College, London) will present thought-provoking state-of-the-art lectures (45 minutes) in their area of infectious disease research and the remainder of the day will comprise shorter research updates presented by members of ISCAID and associates.

The number of registrants will be limited to 200 so early registration is recommended.

Registration for the program is discounted for ISCAID members. Membership of ISCAID can be purchased online at www.iscaid.org. ISCAID members are also entitled to a discount of € 130.00 for the registration costs for the entire ECVIM-CA Congress.

The Scientific Committee for the Symposium consists of: Dr. Severine Tasker (University of Bristol, UK)(Chair), Dr. Pedro Diniz (Western University, CA, USA), Dr. Katrin Hartmann (Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, Germany), and Dr. Gad Baneth (Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, Israel).
