Blake C. Guard received his Bachelor’s of Science in the spring of 2011 from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. After being a student researcher in the Gastrointestinal Laboratory at Texas A&M for several years during his undergraduate degree, he joined the team of graduate researchers there, and later received his Master’s of Science in the fall of 2013. Upon completion, he immediately began pursuit of his Doctor of Philosophy at the Gastrointestinal Laboratory which will complete in August of 2017. His major focus of study has been in the field of Biomedical Science with special emphasis on the microbiome as well as fecal bile acids as it relates to chronic enteropathy in dogs. He has been accepted into the Veterinary School at Texas A&M University and will commence further schooling in the fall of 2017.
